16Barnaby Barford (British, 1977) We are all
pigeons Invited to a party, the pigeons have put
together their own costumes using newspapers,
tube tickets, chocolate wraps, junk food and
other fragments sourced on the street. Disguised
as birds of paradise, the pigeons often
perceived as urban pests have now stepped into
the realm of their tropical and beautiful
relatives.

33Working with wood and metal, Jaehyo Lee produces
immaculately formed, intricate sculptures that
reveal a mastery of his materials and a winking,
sophisticated wit. Burnt-black wood often serves
as the sculptural ground into which Lee embeds
discs of fresh wood or bent steel bolts and
nails.
