an artist and art director, crafts very detailed
tableaus, many with a fairy-tale or folklore
theme, by deconstructing, cutting, and sculpting
old books. Her work brings these fables to
life. She turns books into incredible paper
sculptures featuring birds, trees and dreamlike
fantasies and the level of detail and imagination
that goes into her creations is staggering. She
reads the book first and begins to create the
work, adding detail that brings her work that
special magic. Su has exhibited her exquisite
sculptures around the World. Her illustrated book
of fairy tales The Fairytale Princess,
published by Thames Hudson was re-released in
2015. Su has designed art fabric for Liberty
London, and her illustrations have contributed to
regular columns in Intelligent Life Magazine
and Harpers Bazaar UK. Su has also turned her
hand to art-direction for commercials, for
clients such as Volvo and British Airways, and to
theatre set-design. In 2011, Su appeared on Radio
2s Art Show with Claudia Winkleman to talk about
her set for The Rose Theatres production of The
