  equipment flange it is intended to seal.
• Outer diameter (OD) The outer diameter of the
  gasket is larger than the ID and is determined
  based on the flange size to ensure proper
  sealing.
• Thickness Spiral wound gaskets are available in
  various thicknesses, typically ranging from 1/8
  inch (3.2 mm) to 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) or more.
