Introduction

• Chemical Indicator is a kind of substance that
  provides a visible sign, usually with the color
  change
• They are used at low concentrations, and they
  don't influence the conditions for which they are
  recommended.

1. Natural Indicators

• The indicators which occur naturally in the
  environment are referred to as the natural
  indicators. For example, Litmus, Turmeric, etc.

2. Olfactory Indicators

• In this indicator, smell changes depending upon
  the nature of the medium.
• These indicators do not show any color change

3. Artifical Indicators

• These indicators are obtained via some chemical
  reaction or prepared artificially in the lab are
  called as artificial indicators.
