Causes of QuickBooks Won't Open Error

• I recently encountered this error to help you
  troubleshoot QuickBooks won't open error. Today
  on this presentation we have discussed all sorts
  of reasons why QuickBooks won't open corporate
  files in Windows and their effective solutions.
• When the QuickBooks company file is damaged or
  corrupted.
• To open the company file when a user is using the
  wrong version of QuickBooks.
• When the file from the same company is opened on
  the shared network.
• Using incorrect methods to open certain files.

Solution QuickBooks Wont Open error Problems

• Solution 1
• Edit or rename the QBWUSER.ini file.
• In the 'Technical Help' go to 'Open File Tab' and
  select 'QBWUSER.ini'.
• Then select the option 'Rename' and enter 'Paste'
  as the last file name. an .old. Then rename
  'exml.file' and see if the QuickBooks error has
  been fixed or not. Solution
• Solution 2
• Download and Install the QuickBooks Update
• Go to the QuickBooks software Help page and
  click the Update QuickBooks option to open it.
• Click the Update Now tab underneath, then select
  the latest QuickBooks update version.
• Select the latest update, click the "Install Now"
  option.
• That's it! After installing the update, just
  quickly restart your system for better
  performance.
