ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Durg Vishwavidyalaya was established in 2015, and
it is a public university in Chhattisgarh. The
university has various affiliated colleges, some
of them being private, while some are government
colleges. Moreover, the university offers
Postgraduate, Diploma, PhD and Undergraduate
degrees. Durg University offers 431 courses with
various specialisations. Durg University is now
known as Hemchand Yadav university or Hemchand
Yadav Vishwavidyalaya. The pandit Ravishankar
Shukla University was bifurcated and the Durg
university was established.

HISTORY
Durg University is located in Raipur Naka, Durg.
Moreover, the name of the university was changed
in 2018. The university was named after Hemchand
Yadav, who was a former politician. Durg
University has a total of 199 colleges, which
comes under it affiliation. In 2019, the
Chancellor of Durg University and the Governor of
Chhattisgarh appointed Dr Aruna Palta as the
Vice-Chancellor. Formerly, she was the Principal
of Government Radhabai Navian Girls College,
Raipur.

• Durg University campus is located in Durg,
  Chhattisgarh. The campus provides world-class
  facilities to the students. The campus has an IT

  in Philosophy, Education, Yoga, PGDCA and Arts.

Library Durg University has a library with a
huge collection of books and journals. Moreover,
