Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
Meaning of IUI - IUI is a fertility treatment in
which sperm are placed or transfer directly into
the uterus of a female ,this transfer of sperm is
known as intrauterine insemination.
During natural contraception , sperm have to
travel from vagina through cervix into the uterus.
IUI is basically recommend when your male partner
or female partner are infertile and we can say
they are dealing with infertility. IUI can also
be recommend when you have some vaginal issue
i.e.. Vaginal infection , itching in cervix and
blocked fallopian tube.

Benefits of Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
Sperm mortality and speed of sperm - if the sperm
mortality is low as to the normal sperm travel
rate than IUI treatment is best for you and your
partner because if the sperm mortality is low or
the speed of sperm is not at the normal speed of
sperm than it will not be able to go till uterus.

Poor egg or sperm quality - As sperm have less
travel speed, sperm and egg also have poor
quality that means egg and sperm are not able to
fertilize by themselves and here you can prefer
IUI treatment.
Pregnancy at older age  Due to menopause a
female after her 45 age she is unable to
conceive pregnancy. Some women want to get
pregnant at thus stage can go through IUI
treatment . Thus treatment will help them to go
with the experience of pregnancy.
Pregnancy in case if endometriosis
- Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue
that normally lines uterus to grow outside the
uterus . Thus tissue may found on fallopian tube
, over ovaries and over intestine . If you suffer
from this endometriosis than you may go through
IUI treatment because the sperm will directly
placed by the doctors into the uterus of a female
body.

How body reacts - IUI is a best treatment to
determine that what reaction will your body give
if you go through In vitro fertilization (IVF)
and if you want to go though any other higher
treatment.
IUI is less invasive and less expensive  As
compared to in vitro fertilization treatment, IUI
is less expensive.

A single woman can also have IUI treatment - For
IUI treatment the semen are collected and they
are kept in the laboratory for the female who
want to conceive pregnancy but without copulation.
IUI help mucus to bypass the sperm  there are to
type of mucus that is cervical mucus and
ovulatory mucus . Cervical mucus is thick and
tracky where as ovulatory mucus is thin and
strachy. IUI treatment help cervical mucus to
bypass the sperm to the uterus. 
Conclusion - some women are not recommend for
IUI treatment because weather they are suffering
form history of pelvic infection and also if they
have some fallopian disorder.
If a female with pelvic infection go to this
procedure than she may have small risk of
infections after the procedure . If your doctor
recommended you the IUI then you must go though
it but if not than dont ever go through the
procedure because it may create risk for you and
your upcoming baby as well.
