History

• Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) is an
  Indian tractor manufacturer incorporated in 1960
  at Chennai, The third-largest tractor
  manufacturer in the world and the second
  largest in India by volumes, TAFE wields about
  25 market share of the Indian tractor industry
  with a sale of over 150,000 tractors (domestic
  and international) annually.
• TAFE has had a partnership with AGCO
  Corporation and the Massey Ferguson brand for
  over 55 years. TAFE has a distribution network of
  over 1000 dealers which sells its four tractor
  brands Massey Ferguson, TAFE, IMT and Eicher. Be
  sides tractors, TAFE and its subsidiaries have
  business interests in areas such as
  farm-machinery, diesel engines and gensets,
  engineering plastics, gears and transmission
  components, batteries, hydraulic pumps and
  cylinders, passenger vehicle franchises and
  plantations.
• From just one tractor model in 1961, TAFE today
  is a mass-manufacturer with an extensive product
  range.

TAFE TRACTOR

• TAFE range of tractors for the export markets, is

  presence in Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and

HARVESTERS

• Harvesters are one of the most valuable pieces of
  machinery used by farmers globally. Performing a
  combination of functions, harvesters are

  behind.With great emphasis on quality, TAFEs
  combine harvesters are field-tested to ensure

IMPLEMENTS

• TAFE has been collaborating with world technology
  leaders to establish its Applications Business
  Unit (ABU) to efficiently answer the emerging
  needs of the global farming community. Offering a
  range of implements and accessories for various
  agricultural applications like land preparation,
  planting, harvesting, post harvest handling,
  around the farm operations and storage, the TAFE
  ABU has perhaps the most sophisticated and
  comprehensive assortment of implements that cater
  to almost every farm mechanization need of every
  farmer.

AGRO ENGINES

• Marketed under the Eicher Engines brand, Agro
  Engines manufactures superior quality diesel
  engines in the range 12 46 hp. These engines
  are robust, low maintenance, fuel efficient and
  serve as an additional source of revenue to
  farmers and our rural customers. All the engines
  in this segment are air-cooled, and can run for
  long durations at high ambient temperatures,
  thereby increasing the productivity and profits
  of the customer. Agro Engines have no need for a
  coolant and are almost completely maintenance
  free since there is no radiator, water pump, or
  thermostat valve, bypassing the usual problems of
  leakages and radiator choking.
