  world-famous museums. No trip to the city is
  complete without stopping by the Rijksmuseum, Van
  Gogh Museum or Stedelijk Museum, but the city
  also has a multitude of treasures outside of the
  Museum District. A Dutch national museum
  dedicated to arts and history in Amsterdam, the
  Rijksmuseum is the most visited museum in the
  Netherlands. One of the best parts of visiting

• Anne Frank House
• The museum was constructed for the display of
  the artistic works of Anne Frank. The Anne Frank
  House is one of Amsterdams most visited museums.
  It includes the apartment where the Frank family
  hid from the Nazis and where Anne Frank wrote her
  famous diary.

• Rijksmuseum
•  Rijksmuseum is the largest art museum in the
  country, and was founded in 1800 in The Hague. It
  is the most important and Famous museum in the
  Amsterdam ,Netherlands. Its rich collection
  includes paintings from renowned Dutch masters
  Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, Frans Hals and Jan
  Steen. The museum anchors an area called Museum
  Square, also home to the Van Gogh museum.  There
  are plenty of galleries of Golden Age paintings.

• Van Gogh Museum
• Van Gogh has the worlds largest collection of
  paintings from infamous Dutch artist Vincent Van
  Gogh (1853-1890). It is very popular among
  visitors of Amsterdam, The Van Gogh Museums
  collection includes more than 200 paintings, 500
  drawings and 750 letters created by the artist
  and is one of many Dutch museums dedicated to Van
  Gogh.

• Museum van Loon
• This historical home and museum is a
  delightful place to spend the afternoon. Its
  definitely one of the best lesser-known museums
  in Amsterdam. Here you expect to see pastel
  portrait exhibitions, intriguing contemporary
  photographs, and site-specific works strewn
  across the house. The Van Loons still reside
  upstairs, which is off-limits, and artifacts are
  displayed in a casual, lived-in way.
