pain. The current work culture requires you to
sit in front of a system or laptop for long
hours. Sometimes when you working on a project
which is due tomorrow, you strain yourself a lot
and do not move much to complete your project. At
the end, you feel your neck been really stiff and
sore. You can hardly move your head properly and
might develop a headache. Does this sound

    back. Hence you should keep your feet flat on the
    floor and back straight against the chair.

  • Your desk setup should be appropriate. Your desk
    placed too high or low will result in straining
    your neck muscles. To avoid it, adjust your desk
    in such way that you dont have to strain your
    neck or shoulder muscles to work.
  • To promote neutral spine position for your neck,
    set your monitor at or slightly below eye level.
    This way your neck muscles and back will be more
    relaxed.

  • To avoid slouching, use a chair which has full
    back that extends from the seat to your shoulder
    or above. This will help you to give appropriate
    lower back support so that you dont bend your
    head forward to work.
  • Take enough short breaks when you are at work.
    Stretch your body walk around and rotate your
    neck from right to left slowly to avoid neck
    stiffness.
