AC Adaptor failure
AC adaptor is used to provide necessary charge to
operate the laptop and also to charge laptops
battery for extended period working. When this AC
adaptor got damaged, then it will neither charge
your laptop nor the laptops battery. AC adaptor
can cause various issues like short circuit,
overheating, stops charging, display blinking,
power fluctuation, unexpected shutdown, etc

Causes
While plugging IN, sometimes DC connector gets
misplaced which create loose contact between
motherboard and adaptor. AC adaptor consist of
many ICs and Conductor which gets heat up during
power supply, the adaptor box is of plastic with
no fans or space for air flow so this create over
heating.

Troubleshoot

• Verify adaptor plugged into a wall outlet.
• Check adaptor indicator light.
• Check the wall outlet itself.
• Check adaptor brick connection.
• Adaptor plugged into laptop.
• Laptop power connection port.
• Replacement.
• If you have everything to trouble shoot and cant
  solve this issue but you came to the conclusion
  that problem is in adaptor then only thing you
  can do is replace it.
