LEON LÖWENTRAUT THE EXPLOSIVE PAINTING
New York, NY Edelman Arts is pleased to present
Leon Löwentraut, one of the most sought-after
young talents on the international art scene,
with an exhibition of 15 large scale paintings.
The exhibition will be on view at our salon space
at 111 East 70th Street, New York City from May 3
to June 15, 2018.

Faithful to the colorful, expressive style that
built his reputation, Löwentrauts newest works
are large-format portraits that mark him as an
heir to both Basquiat and Picasso yet, with a
shocking force of vitality and freshness, are
still uniquely Löwentraut. His bold use of color,
line, and texture combine to create paintings
that viscerally engage the viewer. Löwentraut
has exhibited his works in galleries and museums
across the globe, including Galerie Loeffel
(Basel), Bruno Gallery (Singapore), Galerie
Michael Poliza (Hamburg), The Muse (London),
Avant Garde LES (New York), Geuer Geuer
(Dusseldorf), and the Osthaus Museum (Hagen).

To celebrate the opening of Longchamps new Fifth
Avenue location, Illustrators, Izak
Zenou and Mokshini were invited to illustrate
live portraits for guests including Paris
Jackson, Les Twins, Jeremy Scott, Cara
Delevingne, Nina Garcia and many more from
Traffic NYC.

Mr. Z and his posters that have the Coast
Since 2014 and his famous tourist posters, Mr. Z
is everywhere. With always the same will to give
a beautiful image of the territory. In his
office, on the heights of Carqueiranne, he
returns to his rich career. Without making any
head and all in modesty portraying a handsome
fashion illustration.

Drawing, an activity that he has been practicing
since childhood. "It was an occupation like any
other, as soon as there was a free moment, I was
given a leaf and pencils." Like every child or
almost. "The difference is certainly because I've
always been encouraged and said I'm good at
it." His diploma from the Graduate School of
Graphic Arts Estienne in his pocket, he becomes
advertising.
