Title: 5 ways to reduce stammering

1
Is your child stammering? 5 ways to reduce
stammering
2
  • Stammering at a young age, though not very
common, exists around the world. It is perfectly
fine if a person stammers, but children are
victimized by bullies. This leads to
discouragement among children. As parents, you
are their only and big hope to survive this
stage of their lives. Read on to find out more
about stammering, and what are the possible ways
to cure/reduce the stammering. Stammering occurs
between the age of 3 and 7, and it does not
necessarily get retained after 10 years of age.
In fact, only 25 of the children who stammer are
affected by it in their adulthood.

What causes stammering?
  • Exact causes of stammering are yet to be proved,
however, there are some factors, one which could
be the reason for your childs stammering.
Inability to control organ speech muscle or
ineffective lips and tongue movement. It is
extremely important that you support and help
your child overcome stammering because adulthood
stammering is often caused by fear, anxiety, lack
of confidence, etc. The child should be
encouraged to stay confident so that the fear
does not stay with him in future.

How to beat stammering?
  • The causes of stammering happen to be
psychological, which include improper movement of
tongue, lips, trachea, and lungs. You can make
your child do some exercises that involve these
organs to strengthen them and ensure their smooth
movement. Stammering can be reduced to a minimum
level and even be eliminated, provided you make
    your child do following exercises.
