• The Master of Design course at Faculty of Design
  is established to realize the need for research,
  innovation, specialization and experimentation in
  the field of interior design.
• The opportunity is to create and innovate in a
  global economy, drawing from our own resource
  pool of extremely rich, pluralistic, multi-polar
  and challenging Indian context.

• The Master of Design course stands at the unique
  intersection of repurposing Craft with the
  current interior architecture practices,
  redefining the design processes using
  Computational design techniques supported by
  Theory with historical precedents and critical
  thought.

About the course

• M.Des is envisaged as a process of achieving
  excellence in a chosen area of concern, wherein a
  strong research based stimulus informs and helps
  to refine or contextualize contemporary design
  thinking and practice.
• The program cultivates and strengthens the
  designer's acute sensitivity towards global
  issues and encourages the individual to act in
  accordance with traditional moorings and cultural
  convictions.

• The core curriculum focusses on innovation in
  design research resulting as consequence of
  interfacing traditional crafts with material
  advances that reflect and embody the spirit of
  new thought processes in a global cultural
  milieu.

• The M.Design challenges conventional ways of
  learning through a range of seminars, design
  workshops, lectures, publications and ongoing
  research projects. The course offers
