Liberal Arts is a new educational system in India
that is not so common among the general public.
Liberal arts courses in India not only include
humanities, performing arts or fine arts but also
includes commerce and science subjects. The
advantage of liberal arts is that it combines
various subjects and allows students to integrate
and learn different topics under humanities,
mathematics, commerce, statistics, economics,
science, performing arts, fine arts and many more.

1. Thapar School of Liberal Arts Sciences,
Patiala
TSLAS is one of the top liberal arts colleges in
India. They offer a wide range of undergraduate
degrees to provide the best education to the
students. BA, BBA, B.Sc. and B.Com were some of
the undergraduate programmes offered by the
college.   They also offer Global Connect and
Dual Degree Programmes to get global exposure in
the students' prospering career. Through this

Gargi College is well known for its background in
performing and fine arts and is one of the best

Symbiosis International is a deemed university
and is the leading college in arts and management
studies. Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts
provides a four-year liberal arts undergraduate
degree, i.e. Bachelor of Arts Honours and
Bachelor of Science Honors. They intake 100
students per batch per degree, and the course
fees range from 3-4 lakhs per year.   There are
two options for taking admission in this college,
i.e. either candidate has to give the Symbiosis
Entrance Test (SET) or a Scholastic Assessment
Test (SAT). When a candidate clears the SET or
SAT exam, he will be called for the second
process, i.e. Personal Interview and Writing
Ability Test (PI WAT).

Sir J.J. College of Applied Arts is the best
college for fine arts in India. Located in the
heart of Mumbai, this institution is one of the
first arts colleges in India established in the
year 1879. The institute provides a wide range of
courses in fine arts. The college offers a
four-year programme, i.e. Bachelor of Fine Arts
(BFA) in Applied Art. Notable persons like Nana
Patekar, Raj Thackrey and the Chief Minister of
Maharashtra Mr Uddhav Thackeray, were some of the
alumni of this college.
