here we are presenting different types of crafts
and art design work which are available in India.

Kantha Embroidery
Kantha Embroidery Came into existence a whopping
500 years back in West Bengal, the Kantha
Embroidery is quintessential skill and talent of
the rural women of the state. Kantha literally
means Throat, and it is associated with Lord
Shiva.

Terracotta Plaques
A small village in the Rajsamand district, Molela
is situated on the banks of Banas River. The
uniqueness of the village is defined by the
terracotta plaques that are built here.
Interestingly, it is the only place in the whole
of India where the potters are involved in making
terracotta plaques. These plaques are unique in
design and depict votive images

Bamboo and Cane Crafts
Bamboo Crafts in India are well-known crafts. All
thanks to its eco-friendly attributes for making
it a prominent craft form. From centuries, bamboo
crafts had been on an apex position as India is
one of the largest producers of bamboo as well as
the cane. The bamboo craft has been giving a jump
to the expression of tribal art and also
providing the families a means of livelihood

Leather Crafts
The versatile, durable and one of the oldest
materials, leather was once used to adorn the
feet of the Kings. The same material, later on,
went on to become the raw material for not just
sturdy shoes for the mass, but also for exquisite
footwear symbolizing royalty.

Bandhani or Indian Tie Dye Technique
The word Bandhani traces back its origin from
the word Bandhan meaning tying up. Bandhani is
an old practice of art that prevails in the
Indian State of Rajasthan and Gujarat and it
started around 5000 years ago. Cities like
Jaipur, Bhilwara, Udaipur, Ajmer and Sikar of
Rajasthan and Jamnagar of Gujarat are renowned
centers that produce Sarees, Odhnis and Turbans
in bandhani style.

Ek Taar Embroidery
Ek Taar is one wire in Hindi and a form of
embroidery that is primarily done on the garments
of both men and women. It was traditionally done
using a single strand of thin metal in sync with
crystal work on the clothes.

Gota Patti
Also called Lappe Ka Kaam, Gota Patti is one of
the most famous arts of the Indian State
Rajasthan. Lappe Ka Kaam was traditionally made
on religious idols, prayer cloths, royal outfits
and attire designed for auspicious occasions such
as a wedding.

Pembarthi Metal craft
The history of pembarti metal art goes back to
800 years when the lands of Hyderabad, situated
80 km from pembarti, was reigned by Kakatiya
kings. The Kakatiya dynasty thrived for almost
500 years and the pembarti metal artifacts along
with it.
