INTRODUCTION

• The J-Gate Custom Content for Consortium (JCCC)
  is a virtual library of journal literature
  created as customized e-journals access gateway
  and database solution for the INDEST consortium.
  It acts as one-point access to 7,900 subscribed
  currently by all the IITs and IISc and available
  online.
• INFLIBNET has
  identified 22 potential universities as ILL
  Centers in the country to fulfill ILL request
  from the users affiliated to universities covered
  under UGC- INFONET Digital Library Consortium.
• JCCC has facility to trigger e-mail request for
  article to Inter Library Loan Centers as well as
  to INFLIBNET Centre.

SERVICE OF JCCC

• JCCC service covers the following types of
  journals only scholarly, research, technical
  and professional journals.
• JCCC does not cover the following type of
  journals Newspapers, News Letters and popular
  magazines.
• Popular magazines, which are subscribed by the
  CLIENT but not covered under JCCC for indexing,
  can be listed in the journal listing of JCCC with
  link to journal site for further browsing.

CONT

• JCCC service will capture and index all research
  and technical articles in a journal from cover to
  over. The service will exclude from indexing the
  news items, letters to the editor, book reviews,
  and such other items that do not have significant
  research and technical value.
• Informatics has a production system for capturing
  the CONTENT from the journals available online
  through an automated system.
• HOW TO ACCESS- Type http//jccc-ugcinfonet.in or
  www.jccc-ugcinfonet.in in your browser and you
  will be taken to the Home Page of JCCC _at_
  UGCINFONET.

• JCCC helps you select journals of your choice for
  browsing, by Four different routes
• -By Journal Browse/Search
  alphabetical list of titles to select.
• - By Subject Select subject
  categories of our choice.
• - By Publisher.
• - Latest Updates during the
  week, browsing TOC for latest
  issue, browsing archival issues.

BENEFIT OF JCCC

• - We can select journals of your choice with
  ease and convenience, and browse table of
  contents of the latest issues
• -We can search for any article published in all
  journals that IISc and IITs subscribe. Search by
  title words, keywords, abstract words, Author,
  names of Institutes author belongs, etc.
• - View Full text of articles online
• - MyTOC (Table of content) alerts you by e-mail
  the Table-of-Contents for the latest issues of
  your favourite journals. Select journals of your
  choice and add them to our personal MyTOC
  profile.

CONCLUSION

• J-Gate is probably the most ambitious venture of
  its type in India, involving massive content
  gathering, organizing and management. It is also
  a well-thought-out e-journal portal service with
  great potential to scholars and libraries in the
  country.

  come out with related services of great use and
  importance.
