Beliefs
Kelvin Griffin is a Teacher Portfolio and
Performance Evaluator, adjunct professor, former
Director of Instruction for Chicago Public
Schools, and now the Principal at a DeKalb County
Charter School. He holds a Bachelors degree in
Math Education, a Masters degree in Education, a
Georgia Certificate in Educational Leadership,
and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Educational
Leadership. Throughout his long career in
education, Dr. Griffin has believed that all
students should have a chance to be effective.
Georgia for nearly three years before he moved on
to a leadership position within the Chicago
School District. Dr. Griffin is a well-respected
and highly educated man who believes in his
educational ideas and systems.

Kelvin Griffin has wanted to be an educator for
his entire professional life. He earned a
Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education in
1995, a Masters degree in Education in 2002, a
Leadership Certification in 2005, and a Doctorate
in Educational Leadership in 2009. These programs
prepared Dr. Griffin for a life in public service
within the educational system in Atlanta and
Chicago.Kelvin Griffin has been a high-ranking
school administrator since he became the
assistant principal of South Paulding Middle
School in Atlanta in 2005.Throughout his career,
Dr. Griffin has been able to find success in his
job

Kelvin Griffin Educational Background
Before he became a principal in the Atlanta
School District in 2011, Kelvin Griffin learned
about to teach, inspire, and lead students and
the communities from where they come. He devoted
many years to his education, and holds degrees
from Clark Atlanta University, Mercer University,
and the University of West Georgia. Today, he is
the Principal at DeKalb County Charter School.
