Title: Bones and Skeletons
1Bones And Skeletons
By Ms. Mini Abraham
2What would happen if a human being didn't have a
skeleton?
You'd be floppy like a beanbag.
3Without a skeleton
Could you stand up?
Could you walk?
No way.
4Without a skeleton your body would be
like an earthworm or a jellyfish.
5Inside your body you have a skeleton made of
bones.
6Some animals like crab, have a skeleton on the
outside of their body.
7As a crab grows too big for its shell, it has to
shed its old shell and grow a new one.
8Are skeletons important ???
YES
9Why is it important ?
It protects the delicate parts of our body.
Our skull protects our brain.
10Our ribs form a cage that protects our heart and
lungs.

15Smallest bone - Tiny bone inside the ear (
Stirrup )
16Not all bones are soild.
The long bones are filled with a jelly- like
substance called marrow which helps to make
blood.
