• So you are embarking on a film-making project

Tips to get started

• Use slow and steady pans- when using your DSLR to
  shoot movies, you want to keep the pans at a
  minimum and if you must do them, make sure you
  take smooth and steady pans so you avoid the
  Jell-O wobble. If you can get your hands on a
  dolly crane, so much the better. You can also use
  a wide angle lens because if there is a wobble,
  the lens will make it less noticeable.

• Use ND filters- face it, when shooting videos
  outdoors, you rarely have control over the amount
  of light that you get and this is where neutral
  density fillers come in handy so you can get the
  look you want in your frames.
• Use filters- never underestimate the importance
  of a good filter. Make sure you have a couple
  handy like the polarizing filter or a gradation
  filter.

• Shooting videos with a DSLR is a lot of work but
  it is also a lot of fun. Do not be afraid to
  experiment with your shots and you will get
