Holiday Meetings

• Visit from Santa Claus or Holiday

Pine Wood Derby

• Organize derby clinic and invite all the boys in
  your school.
• Give out derby kits for the first 20 boys
• Invite new boy to participate in your derby (use
  separate class for boys that have not joined)
• Recognize Visitors

Cross Over

• Very effective for year-end cross over
• Invite 1st to 4th graders 2-3 weeks early
• Have neckerchiefs and slides for new boys that
  join
• Promote summer twilight camps

Blue Gold Banquet

• Sit visiting families with dens
• Recognize visitors
• Have special presentations or activities
• May not be best for recruiting if coupled with
  Friends of Scouting presentation.

Family Campouts Field Trips

• Publicize event 1 month or more in advance
• Require attendance at pack meeting prior to camp
  out
• Require joining to attend camp out

Scout Sunday

• Boys all in uniform
• Make arrangements for boys to help with service
• Recruitment information in bulletin
• Recruitment table after service

School Events

• Flag Ceremonies at PTA meetings
• Meet the Teacher
• Volunteer to help at special school functions,
  plays, presentations.
• Table with pack/den information

Making Cubs into Recruiters

• Wear uniforms on pack den meeting nights
• Pack/Den info sheet

• Have boys make a list of friends to invite to a
  pack meeting.
