  • 1.5 generation is defined as
  • Those who were NOT born in US
  • Those who entered US prior to age 17
  • Those who defined themselves as being Korean in
    American Community Survey (ACS) conducted by the
    Census Bureau

  • As 2004, the United States Census Bureau had
    counted
  • 300,991 1.5 generation Koreans
  • 52.5 female
  • Average age of 24
  • 31.2 under 17 0.7 over 55
