  • Number cant be higher than the number of sources

  • Use p. for 1 page
  • pp. for more than 1 page
  • Just use the page number where you found the
    information

  • Here are the steps for making a good notecard.
  • Read your source first.
  • Determine what is important.
  • Determine a slug for that information. (What did
    the information mean?)
  • Write the slug in the top left corner.
  • Avoid who, what, where, when, why and how in your
    slug
  • Often there are bold words, subheadings, etc.
    which make good slugs
  • 5. On the next line indent and write the
    information that matches the slug.
  • Make sure it matches the slug
  • Use phrases (NO COMPLETE SENTENCES)
  • Do not plagiarize (Put information in your own
    words)
  • If there is too much information on the card then
    your slug is not specific enough
  • 6. Dont forget to put the source number in the
    upper right corner.
  • ALL CARDS FROM A SOURCE WILL HAVE THE SAME NUMBER
    IN THE UPER RIGHT HAND CORNER
  • 7. Put the page number in the lower right
    corner.
  • pp. for more than 1 page, p. for one page
  • Only include the pages where you found the
    information

  • REQUIRED SLUGS
  • Definition of craftsperson or trade
  • Education/Training (apprenticeship)
  • Raw Materials (what materials they began with to
    make their craft or practice their trade)
  • Tools (tools used to make the craft or practice
    the trade)
  • Making the craft or practicing the trade (The
    ways the product was made. Step by step. This
    can be several cards preparation, main steps,
    finishing, etc.
  • Finished Products (the things they made or
    services performed)
