Department adds the appropriate career
expectation and TIFES paragraphs to the JD and
notes the name and grade of the person being
replaced
Department sends the JD and person specification
to their HR Manager for grading, ensuring
appropriate career expectation and TIFES
paragraphs have been included
HR Manager confirms the grade via email following
any clarification of queries
Department sends job description, person
specification, funding confirmation and the
email confirming the grade of the role to the
redeployment coordinator. Department to review
the redeployment register and identify any
redeployees who may match the requirements of the
role. These redeployees should be highlighted to
the redeployment coordinator.
Job is posted on the redeployment bulletin for 14
days (7 days for Academic posts) - or longer by
agreement with the recruiting manager - for
redeployees to express an interest in
Redeployee expresses an interest the role and the
redeployment coordinator sends their details,
including a supporting statement, to the
recruiting department.
No redeployee interested
If there is the potential for a 70 match to the
role, an informal meeting is held between the
department and redeployee (see additional
guidelines)
Redeployment Service confirms to the department
that the role can be released for advert, and
informs the HR Manager and recruitment
If the redeployee is considered a match, an
interview is arranged (a formal committee can be
arranged for grades 7, 8 9)
If the redeployee is not suitable for the role,
feedback is given
Redeployee is appointed and Redeployment Service
informed
Redeployment coordinator sends job description
and funding confirmation to recruitment
Redeployment Service sends all paperwork to HR
for contract letter. And liaises with individual
to agree a start date and to confirm the salary
Recruitment contacts the department to discuss
advertising preferences and the job is advertised
