Brothers and sisters think of what you were
when you were called!
5--
Think of what you were when you were called
Not many of you were wise by human
standards not many were influential not
many were of noble birth.
Brothers, think of what you were when you were
called. Not many of you were wise by human
standards not many were influential not many
were of noble birth.
6--
But God chose the foolish things of the world
to shame the wise God chose the weak
things of the world to shame the strong.
Brothers, think of what you were when you were
called. Not many of you were wise by human
standards not many were influential not many
were of noble birth.
7--
- God chose the lowly things of this world
- and the despised things
- and the things that are not
8--
- to nullify the things that are,
- so that no one may boast before Him.
9--
- It is because of God
- that you are in Christ Jesus,
10Christ Jesus Who has become for us wisdom
from God
11that is, our righteousness, holiness and
redemption.
12Therefore, as it is written "Let him who
boasts boast in the Lord."
13Not many of you were wise by human
standards not many were influential not
many were of noble birth.
14But God chose the foolish things of the world
to shame the wise God chose the weak
things of the world to shame the strong.
152 Corinthians 129 But He said to me, "My grace
is sufficient for you, for my power is made
perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all
the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that
Christ's power may rest on me.
162 Corinthians 1210 That is why, for Christ's
sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in
hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.
17 For when I am weak, then I am strong.
18For when I am weak, then I am strong.
191 Samuel 1745 David said to the Philistine,
"You come against me with sword and spear and
javelin, but I come against you in the name of
the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of
Israel, Whom you have defied.
201 Samuel 1747 All those gathered here will know
that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD
saves for the battle is the LORD's, and He
will give all of you into our hands."
211 Samuel 1750 So David triumphed over the
Philistine with a sling and a stone without a
sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine
and killed him.
222 Corinthians 129 But He said to me, "My grace
is sufficient for you, for my power is made
perfect in weakness."
23 For when I am weak, then I am strong.
24Therefore, as it is written "Let him who
boasts boast in the Lord."
