Whats A Biome?
  • A Biome is a large ecosystem , where
    plants,animals,insects,and people live in a
    certain type of climate. The world contains many
    Biomes such as grasslands,deserts, and tropical
    rain forests.

Types of Biomes
  • Arctic Tundra
  • Coniferous Forest
  • Deciduous Forest
  • Grassland
  • Tropical Forest
  • Desert

Arctic Tundra
  • Temperature 40C -18C
  • Plants Small shrubs,cushion plants, lichen that
    cover many rocks.
  • The Arctic Tundra is famous for beautiful flowers.

Special Features of Arctic Tundra
  • This is the earths coldest Biome of them all.
  • The Polar Bear is the King of The Arctic!

Grassland
  • Temperature 20C - 30C
  • This is a hot dry climate.
  • Plants Little trees to grow.And the grass dies
    back to there roots.

  • There are hot and dry climates in this biome.
  • A vast area of grassy fields.

Now Entering the Deadly Desert!
  • Very Hot and Dry.
  • 40C-30C
  • Loads of Cactus
  • You even might come across yucca, aloe, tall
    saguaro, and cacti.

Exiting The Deadly Desert!
  • Lack of Water.
  • This hot Dry climate is 1- fifth of the earths
    surface.

Tropical Rainforest
  • Temperature 20c-25c
  • This Biome has to remain Warm and Frost- Free.
  • 15 million plants and animals can be found.
  • Banana trees, bamboo trees,rubber trees, and more!

  • 70 inches of Rain
  • There are two types of rainforests Tropical
    Temperate.

Coniferous Forest
  • Cold climate 40c-20c.
  • Plants here are cone-baring trees such as
    hemlock, and fir.

  • Theres a lot of animals here!
  • Red fox, moose, snow shoe rabbit, and lots more!

Deciduous Forest
  • This is a mild temperature zone.
  • About 30c-30c
  • Dead leaves enriches the soil.
  • Wild flowers, oak, maple trees, and loads more.

  • The forests are usually cut down for farms and
    homes.
  • Its a terrible thing!!!

Conclusions
  • These Biomes are a lot different among
    themselves. The Deciduous forest is the Most
    Endangered biome. Because it gets cut down to
    make room for farms and houses. The animals in
    the desert is thirsty of water.Most of the plants
    are dying. Thank-you all for viewing my slide.
