Student Dress Policy

• All articles of student dress must be
  appropriately sized to the student and worn
  properly.
• Clothing must not be excessively loose or tight.
• Students may not add to, nor subtract from, the
  approved student dress policy.
• Student clothing must be maintained in good
  condition, without holes, rips or tears, or
  additions.

PANTS

• Permitted
• Solid color, clean, well-maintained
• May wear jeans
• Secured at the waist

• NOT Permitted
• No cargo pants
• No excessively baggy or tight pants
• No fatigues, sweat pants, wind pants

SKIRTS / SKORTS

• Permitted
• Solid color, clean, well-maintained
• Ankle length to 2 above the knee

Skirts and skorts may be worn by female students
ONLY

SHORTS

• Permitted
• Solid color, clean, well-maintained
• Formal/Dress style
• Secured at the waist

• NOT Permitted
• No gym shorts, spandex or the like
• No shorter than 2 above the knee

CAPRIS

• Permitted
• Solid color, clean, well-maintained
• May include jeans
• Secured at the waist

Capris may be worn by female students ONLY

SHIRTS

• Permitted
• Collared, button-down, dress or golf-style
• Solids, stripes, plaids and patterns
• Long sleeve or short sleeve
• Lackawanna Trail or
• approved affiliated logos

• NOT Permitted
• No more than 2 buttons unbuttoned at the throat
• Manufacturers logos no larger than 3 x 3
• No self-made, manufactured or constructed logos
• No bare or exposed midriffs

Shirts underneath must be solid white with no
visible writing

SWEATERS

• Permitted
• Solid color, clean, well-maintained
• Crew neck, turtleneck, v-neck
• Cardigan sweater or sweater vest

• A collared shirt (in accordance with policy) or
  solid color turtleneck MUST be worn underneath
  the sweater

SWEATSHIRTS

• Permitted
• Solid color, clean, well-maintained
• Crewneck sweatshirts

• NOT Permitted
• No hooded sweatshirts
• No zip up sweatshirts

A collared shirt (in accordance with policy) or
solid color turtleneck MUST be worn underneath
the sweatshirt

SHOES

• Permitted
• Dress shoes or sneakers
• Socks must be worn

Solid color tights or nylons may be worn by
females students

• NOT Permitted
• Flip-flops or other beach shoes
• No unsafe footwear
• No shoes with wheels

FORMAL CLOTHES
Students may wear clothes of a more formal
nature

• Boys Mens or boys suits or sport coats with
  solid color pants, dress shoes, dress shirt and
  tie

Girls Womens or girls dresses or suits
Formal clothes must conform with all other
aspects of the dress policy
