Market Overview - DOW

• Wall Street extended its record-setting advance
  Monday, sending the Dow Jones industrial average
  within a whisper of 12,000 as investors grew more
  optimistic that corporate profits will remain
  robust amid a slowing economy.

Oil and Natural Gas

• Oil prices jumped by more than 1 a barrel Monday
  as OPEC prepares to meet later this week and cold
  weather forecasts prompted traders to bid up the
  cost of home-heating fuels.Natural gas futures
  surged by almost 14 percent.

Last Weeks Earnings

• Alcoa - Shares dropped 7 after the aluminum
  giant reported Q3 results far below analysts
  estimates due to a steep drop in metals prices.
• Yum! Owns Taco Bell and Pizza Hut saw a jump in
  earnings only to be downgraded by a host of
  analysts.

Earnings Stocks We Own

• Harley-Davidson HOG on Thursday posted a
  better-than-expected 18 percent jump in quarterly
  earnings on strong sales of its new line of
  motorcycles.
• Winnebago WGO reported sharply lower profits
  for its fiscal fourth quarter due to product
  liability claims and a decrease in sales because
  of higher interest rates and fuel prices.
