Background EU does not have a specific
competence in childrens issues but many EU
policies and legislations have an impact on
children Aim - Increasing the opportunities
for Ministers and/or high-level government
officials to meet and exchange strategies,
viewpoints and best practices on childrens
issues in the context of EU policies and the UN
CRC. - Introducing of mainstreaming of childrens
policies and the rights of the child in all EU
policies

EU-ministers and/or high-level officials holding
responsibility for childhood policies organized
by the Country holding the Presidency and falling

- LEurope de lEnfance maintains information
exchange with ChildONEurope, may ask and give
suggestions to ChildONEurope on the activities
undertaken and the subjects dealt

the survey carried out and the decisions taken at
the Assemblies
