• Distance 18 inches to 4 feet
• Two Sub phases
• Sub Phase One-
• 18 inches- 2 ½ ft., somewhat private
  communication, some touching, usually friends
• Sub Phase Two
• 2-4 ft., usually acquaintances, happens in public
  lines

• Distance 4-12 ft. very little personal
  communication
• Sub Phase One 4-7 ft, informal business, ex
  some high school teachers

• 4. Locative Gestures -directs the audience to a
