Princeton Review names Marquette a Best in the
Midwest University and Place Where Students
Never Stop StudyingReleased 8/19/03 The
Princeton Reviews National College survey
results were officially released this morning and
Marquette is named one of the best universities
in the Midwest. Marquette is profiled in the very
first edition of The Best Midwestern Colleges.
With this ranking, the Princeton Review seeks to
identify some of the colleges and universities
that we feel stand out within each region. In
addition, in the annual survey, Marquette ranked
in the top 20 nationally as a school where
students never stop studying, joining Carnegie
Mellon and the California Institute of Technology
who were also on the short list. Marquette has
always been a great balance between serious
academic study and a fun environment outside of
the classroom, says the Rev. Robert Wild, S.J.,
president of Marquette University. Our students
know that to maintain the excellence we insist
upon, they have to study. We are very proud of
them.
