STA Program Goals

• To provide faculty with digital-media production
  services, focusing on one-on-one assistance from
  trained students supported by professional staff
  members

• To provide students with experience in working
  with clients on projects and tasks in
  digital-media production, enabling them to gain
  skill and experience in working with new media

STA Services

• Assistance in writing for the web
• Web page design and preparation
• Preparation of documents for publication on the
  web
• Preparation of graphics for display on the web or
  in presentations
• Digital photography and scanning
• PowerPoint and multimedia presentations on disc
  or on CD

STA Services

• Posting and editing announcements, assignments,
  course information, tests, and similar material
  for use in Blackboard course-management software
• Assistance with classroom demonstrations and
  presentations using Internet and presentation
  technology
• Other services as requested (upon approval from
  the STA Program Manager)

STA Responsibility

• Takes Basic Course Series
• Receives Certificate of Completion
• Checks email daily
• Contacts manager or professor as directed
• Begins Production work
• Keeps online log timesheet updated

STA Responsibility

• Consultation with professional staff member in
  task area for first 3 assignments
• After 3 consultations in a task area can proceed
  using consultation only as needed

STA Assignment Process

• STA posts progress and hours on the web
  assignment page
• Keeps faculty fully informed on work progress
• Communicates frequently with Bill with
  production staff as needed
• Maintains and submits time sheet
