7What is the TLP?
- - A Plan directed to the whole society in
Extremadura through centres that provide free,
democratic committed access to the Internet and
ICT's in order to introduce Extremadura into the
Information Society. - - The NKC/Integrared are public spaces, placed in
social and cultural centres, with computing
equipment enough for every social sector to
accede to the new opportunities the ICT offer
through the Internet. - - The NKC are placed in rural areas and
IntegraRed centres in the lessfavoured areas of
towns with more than 20.000 inhabitants. - - There are 20 NKC and 13 IntegraRed centres.

- To promote free, participative and democratic
access to ICT's for every citizen. - To spread out local and regional culture
through the participation and commitment of every
inhabitant in Extremadura. - To develop abilities, such as the
entrepreneurial capacity in order to build a new
region and to be able to cope with the XXI
century skills. - To generate virtual and social spaces promoting
the creation of collaboration networks among
businesses, associations and users with similar
interests. -

- To create a social and virtual environment in
order to build a commitment of our people with
the transformation needed in our region. - To create techno-literacy best practices
guidelines that allow us to favour a transference
of this knowledge to other communities and
regions within Europe. - To transfer the knowledge as a Plan, as a
Project and as a mobile for social advance. - To use and disseminate the Open Source Software
in the region.

disseminates the advantages and possibilities
this technology offers for Education, Culture,
Training, the exchanges of experiences and for

tool to dinamise citizens and villages, since
they satisfy interests and promote the approach
to the net. - They are projects that create individual and
community values. - Projects such as the portal for the Virtual
School for Parents, Youth Network, Elder Meeting
Point and the Portal for the Unemployed are some
examples.

are scattered across Extremadura. - It promotes the birth of virtual communities.

Popular Universities is already a reality.
