IRE Thematic Network co-ordinators
meetingLuxembourg, 23 rd May 2002
  • 13 Thematic Networks (TNs) that are currently
running form part of the core activity of the IRE
    network.
  • The idea behind the TNs is built on the
    successful experiences from the RITTS/RIS
    thematic sub-groups, where regions exchanged
experiences on themes of common interest.
  • The co-ordinators agreed that while collaboration
within the TNs enhances the partners awareness
of innovation-related issues and allows them to
    identify future co-operation partners, more
intense work and personal efforts are required in
order to go beyond mere networking. METROPOLIS
has formalised members commitments to improve or
implement specific schemes in their regions on
the topics dealt with by the TN through the
    METROPOLIS Operational Plans.

Contractual and administrative issues (i)
  • VAT
  • Subcontracting amounts will include VAT as this
    is not eligible
  • Transferring budget between categories
  • The total amounts successively transfer does not
exceed by more than 20 the amount allocated to
the beneficiary in the table of the indicative
    breakdown of estimated eligible costs.
  • This means that from subcontracting (8.250) to
Travel Subsistence (4.896) the maximum amount
that can be transferred is 979,20.

8
Contractual and administrative issues (ii)
  • The maximum "daily susbsistence fee" per visited
country will be the usual rates at the European
    Commission (see below table).
