Title: The Reporting Report

1
The Reporting Report
  • Louise Estabrook
  • Cooperative Extension Agent North Fulton

2
Whats this all about?
  • Remember back when you were an intern?
  • You were probably given a log book and asked to
keep a record of where and when you volunteered.
  • Then you tallied the log book and put the numbers
    on an Annual Summary Report.
  • And your Agent
  • submitted those
  • numbers to the
  • State of Georgia!

3
Well, weve gotten a little bit away from that -
  • In order to preserve the integrity of our
program, everyone needs to climb back onboard the
    reporting train.

4
Changes to improve the process
  • Reports will be due 3 times a year April 10,
    August 10 and December 10
  • December 10th is the last possible filing date of
    the year!
  • Online Reporting
  • (Im workin on it!)
  • Easier Forms

5
Where do we get the forms?
  • In the Extension Office
  • At the General Meetings and at the Board Meetings
  • Online at www.northfultonmastergardeners.org

6
So What Happens if I Dont Report?
  • According to GMGA rules, the Georgia Master
Gardener Coordinators Office and your own by-laws
  • No Report No Recertification
  • If you are not recertified, you cant hold office
    or vote
  • You will be INACTIVE until you turn in your hours
    at the next reporting date

7
OK, I get it I gotta report, but what counts?
  • 25 hours to be recertified
  • 12 of those MUST be in North Fulton
  • 12 of those MUST be in a public educational
    endeavor
  • Having trouble getting your hours? Talk to me!

8

What Doesnt Count?
  • Hours spent attending meetings, such as todays.
  • Attending garden parties, soirees and galas do
    not count
  • Anything done as part of paid employment does not
    count
  • This is NOT new its always been this way!

12
Whats this contact stuff?
  • The number of people in your audience
  • The circulation of the newspaper you wrote for
  • The listening audience of a radio show
  • The number of people you spoke to at a clinic, or
    plant fair
  • The number of people who were on the tour you led

13
For example
  • Our radio show reaches 2500 people each week!
    2500 x 52 130,000

    time it goes out!
