• Our Approach
• We believe that the Bible provides an adequate
  framework for thinking through every question
  which life requires us to ask.
• Every personal problem, when properly understood,
  requires resources for its solution which are
  available only in a relationship with Christ.
  The only worthy goal of care ministry is that the
  person become more like Christ (not just symptom
  removal).
• Life-change happens best in community groups
  where there are authentic relationships
• Sin is more serious than we think, people are
  hurting more deeply than we know.
• People must accept responsibility for their own
  sinful choices, and outgrow their status as
  victims.
• Freedom from all pain, heartache, and
  disappointment is not available in this life, nor
  is it Gods agenda for us. His plan is to make
  us like His Son so that we can reflect His love
  and glory to other hurting people. Counseling is
  the skillful application of biblical truth to
  individual lives.
• Professional counselors provide a valuable
  service to the Christian community. They
  represent one more means by which Christians can
  grow and unbelievers can hear the gospel.
• However, the church is not meant or equipped to
  be a therapeutic counseling center. It provides
  the environment and opportunities for people to
  truly mature in Christ, but they must be willing
  to do the work themselves.

use whatever gift he has received to serve
others, faithfully administering Gods grace in
its various forms. If anyone serves he should do
it with the strength God provides, so that in all
things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.

Throughout the year, the Care Ministry will be
offering a variety of seminars, workshops and
small groups to help power our WG community for
life change. (See the current FUEL handout for a
list of classes/small groups being offered). In
the future, we hope to expand and offer more
classes/small groups to address other issues as
the needs and resources arise. SPRING FUEL -
