- First Aid and CPR
- 10 hours of annual in-service
- Within 90 days of employment, child care facility
personnel must begin training to meet the
40-clock-hour Introductory Child Care Training
Requirement. This training must be completed
(Part I and Part II) within 1 year of the date on
which the training began.
11Family Child Care Home Providers
Prior to licensure, all Family Child Care
Providers must complete the following
requirements
- 30 Hour Family Child Care Training
The 30 Hour Introduction to Child Care Training
for Child Care Center Personnel does not
replace/substitute for this training.
12Family Child Care Home Providers
- First Aid and CPR
- Substitute
- All Family Child Care Homes must have a written
plan to provide at least one other component
adult, who must be at least 18 years of age, to
be available to substitute for the provider on a
temporary or emergency basis (see training
requirements for Substitutes)
13Family Child Care Home Substitutes
- Substitutes
- Who work 40 hours or more a month will take the
30 Hour Family Child Care course - Who work less than 40 hours a month will take the
3 Hours of Fundamentals of Child Care course - First Aid and CPR
14Large Family Child Care Homes
- 30 Hour Family Child Care Training
- The 30 Hour Introduction to Child Care Training
for Child Care Center personnel does not

- You may choose one of the following courses

15Large Family Child Care Homes
- Must have a
- Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
- OR
- Equivalent for one year prior to licensure as a
large family child care home - Must be licensed as a
- Family Child Care Home for 2 consecutive years in
Florida prior to licensure as a large family
child care home
16Large Family Child Care Homes
- Must have
- One additional staff person at least 18 years of
age - And
- Who has completed the 30 Hour Family Child Care
Training course
17Large Family Child Care Homes
- Substitutes
- Who works 40 hours or more a month will need to
take the 30 Hour Family Child Care course - Who works less than 40 hours a month will need to
take the 3 Hour Fundamentals of Child Care course - First Aid and CPR
- One person on the premises during all hours of
operation who has completed First Aid and CPR
