    campaign trails
  • And.

13
To Get Democrats Out of the Drivers Seat!
14
We Must Meet the Needs of Every Member
  • We want members to be INVOLVED but must consider
that some women simply dont have the time to
    participate
  • Some will join to support our organization and be
informed on the issues by reading materials at
    home at their convenience
  • These women ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT to our
    organizations as active members!

15
Ambassadors of Communication
  • Every member, no matter how actively involved can
keep updated on issues and communicate to family
and friends information that supports the
Republican Party, our candidates, our voice and
    our values.
  • Our best approach in overcoming the slanted
coverage of the media is to communicate the
    truth!

16
Every Member Can Participate in One Plus One
  • Its easy to recruit and only takes a
conversation with a friend, family member,
    neighbor or business associate.
  • Ten minutes of your time
  • Remember EVERY REPUBLICAN WOMAN should be a
    member of our organization!

17
  • Our membership future is in the hands of our
members and the officers of each club throughout
    the nation!

18
Blue Print for Success!
  • There are 8 steps each club can take to increase
    membership!

19
Step One
  • Promote, Promote, Promote
  • Send out a letter to all of your members
explaining the membership drive and asking them
to participate by taking ten minutes of their
time to recruit one new member
  • Establish a deadline of June 1, 2009
  • Make it FUN, offer some incentive for the member
who recruits the most new members

20
Step Two
  • Lets get back to grassroots
  • Assign a captain to every 10 members of your club
  • Each captain personally contacts each of her
    members promoting participation
  • Continual support by captain

21
Step Three
  • Women love competition!
  • Consider offering a prize to each captain and
    group that doubles their membership

22
Step Four Phone Banks
  • Organize Phone Banks!

23
Acquire List of Women Voters
  • Obtain a list of identified Republican Women in
your county from your county clerk or state party
(Voter Vault). This is a FREE list of potential
members available to you JUST BY ASKING!
  • Cross reference the list with your current
membership list. Highlight members with one
    color, past members with another.

24
  • Print out the Phone Script
  • Distribute list script to members
  • Call from home or organize phone bank

25
Deadlines are Important!
  • Establish a deadline for making calls.. Follow
    this step and you are
  • GUARANTEED
  • NEW MEMBERS!

26
Step Five
  • Schedule at least one membership event that
includes a well-known speaker to promote
attendance (A State Elected Official is a magnet
    for attendance)
  • Visit the NFRW One Plus One link on the web site
for fresh ideas on Membership Events.
  • Form a calling committee to personally invite all
members and ask them to bring a guest (potential
    member)

27
Step Six
  • Provide membership forms to all of your members
and encourage them to keep a copy in their purse
so they can recruit new members any time.
  • Add benefits of your local club (guest speakers,
events, candidate debates etc.) to the list of
membership benefits of the NFRW and distribute to
    all of your members

28
Step Seven
  • Precinct or Ward Committee
  • How many precinct or ward committee chairmen and
vice chairmen do you have in your county?
  • Think about it..Every precinct/ward committee
member or their spouse should be a member of your
    club.

29
Step Eight
  • How many Republican Elected officials are there
    in your county?
  • Every Republican elected official or their spouse
    should be a member.
  • Why? Whether directly or indirectly, the
    grassroots efforts of Republican Women
    contributed greatly to their victory.
  • Membership is a small way they can demonstrate
    their appreciation to your organization!

30

    easily recruit a new member!

35
Think About It
  • How and when did you join your local club?
  • Would you have joined sooner ?
  • Did you know about the club before you joined?

    ASKED!
