Title: TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE
1TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE
2I. The Glory Of God
- Lev. 103 By those who come near Me I must be
regarded as holy and before all the people I
must be glorified. (NASB) - Rom. 121 they did not glorify Him as God.
- to the praise of His glory.
3I Peter 411 In all things God may be glorified
through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory
and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (NASB)
- I Cor. 1031 whatever you do, do it all for the
glory of God.
4II. We Must Change The Way We Think
- Israels visible lifestyle would spotlight the
invisible mighty God they served, who reigned
over the universe. - Ez. 3620 They profaned my holy name.
5I Peter 29 But you are a chosen people, a
royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people
belonging to God, that you may declare the
praises of Him who called you out of darkness
into His wonderful light.
- I Peter 212 Live such good lives among the
pagans that, though they accuse you of doing
wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify
God on the day He visits us.
6First, we are to live our lives in such a way
that our lives boldly proclaim, there is only one
God worthy of undivided trust and adoration.
- Second, we are to care for one another in such a
way that unbelievers are amazed. We must live
with a radical dependency in an unseen God with
an extraordinary compassion for other people.
7We Must Change The Way We Live!
- God is not Enough.
- John Calvin said, The first duty of the
Christian is to make the invisible kingdom
visible. - II Cor. 517 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation the old has gone, the new
has come!
8II Peter 13-4 His divine power has given us
everything we need for life and godliness through
our knowledge of Him who called us by His own
glory and goodness. Through these he has given
us his very great and precious promises, so that
through them you may participate in the divine
nature and escape the corruption in the world
caused by evil desires.
9The great issue in Christian living is not how to
get ourselves fixed but how to get our new nature
released.
