• People from ethnic groups are more likely to live
  in areas of poor housing, poverty, ill health,
  crime and drugs
• These areas are often found in inner-cities and
  are called ghettoes
• Many whites have moved to the rich suburbs (white
  flight)

White Flight

• Poor immigrants moved to cities to find jobs and
  cheap housing.
• Many rich whites moved to the suburbs to get away
  from this.
• Many businesses closed down or moved out.
• The cities became poorer.
• More whites left to suburbs.
