Title: Servant Leadership

1
Servant Leadership
  • Running to a Great Purpose

2
Definitions of Leadership
  • Leadership is a process of influence. Anytime you
seek to influence the thinking, behavior, or
development of people toward accomplishing a goal
in their personal or professional lives, you are
taking on the role of a leader.
  • Leadership is the act of taking an individual or
group to a place that they would not normally go
    on their own.

3
Two types of leadership
  • Self-serving Leader
  • Servant Leader
  • Servant leadership is the Secret to effective
    leadership

4
Why Servant Leadership?
  • Jesus Christ
  • Matthew 2025-28
  • Philippians 21-4
  • Ephesians 51-2
  • Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Everybody can be great because anybody can
serve. You don't have to have a college degree to
serve. You don't have to make your subject and
verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full
of grace. A soul generated by love.

Be someone who adds value to others, not takes it
away.
