1My Story
You were walking home from school one day when
you found a small puppy on the pavement. You had
always wanted a puppy but your mum had told you
that you could not have one. What do you do with
the puppy? A) Leave it on the street B) Take the
dog home and hide it. C) Take it home and tell
your mum.
2Leave it
You decide to leave the puppy because you know
that your mum would not let you keep it. You
carry on walking towards home still thinking
about the dog. What happens to it? A) The dog
follows you home. B) When you go back the next
day the dog is still there.
3Hide the dog
The dog looks at you with a sad look so you
decide to take him home. You know that your mum
would not let you have it if she saw it so you
decide to hide it. Where do you decide to hide
it? A) The shed B) Your bedroom. C) The playroom
4Tell your mum
The dog looks so sad and small you cant leave it
but you know your mum would be cross. The
decision you make is to take the dog home and
tell your mum so she can make a decision. What
does your mum say? A) We will take it to the
RSPCA. B) She will take it to the vet. C) She
gets cross takes the dog to the RSPCA and sends
you to your room.
5Follow you home
You start to walk home and when you look behind
you the dog is following you. Not knowing what
to do you carry on walking home and wonder what
your mum will do. When you get home you tell
your mum that you found the dog and it just
followed you home. Your mum does not shout at you

6Still there the next day
The next day when you were coming back home from
school the dog is still there. You realised that
you had the same decision to take as the day
before. What did you decide to do this time? A)
Leave it on the street B) Take the dog home and
hide it. C) Take it home and tell your mum.
7In the shed
You have made the decision to hide the dog in the
shed. This means you will have to put him in
there without your mum seeing. You put the dog
in the shed and give him a bed to sleep in and
some water to drink. You are just coming out of

8In your bedroom
You decide to hide the dog in your bedroom. This
would be a good place because there would be lots
of places for you to hide him without tour mum
finding him. You manage to sneak past your mum
and go into your room. As soon as you have
hidden him in your wardrobe Click here to

9In the playroom
You think that the playroom would be the best
place to hide him so that is where you head. To
get to the playroom you have to go up two flights
of stairs. This will be the hardest part to get
him past your mum. You make it up the first
flight of stairs and are going up the second

10RSPCA
Your Mum thinks that you should take the dog to
the RSPCA so that they can find a new home for
it.You are really upset and beg your Mum to let
you keep it but she says that you cant. In the
end you agree to take it to the RSPCA. At the
centre a lady tells you that it will find a new
home soon and that you can come and see the dog

11Take it to the vet
Your Mum says that she will take the dog to the
vet. The good news that she gives you is that if
the vet says that the dog is well and she will
give the dog its injections your Mum will think
about letting you keep the dog. You cant wait
for your Mum to take the dog to the vet so that

12UH OH!!
Your mum appears. You dont know what to do.
She can tell that you have done something you
should not do and does not look pleased. Your mum
keeps asking you what you are doing and in the
end you have to tell her about the dog. Click

13Cross Mum
Your Mum gets cross at you for bringing the dog
home without telling her. She sends you to your
room. Your mum gives the dog to the RSPCA and
does not let you meet your friends for a week or
watch TV the next day. You should have made
better decisions and maybe then you could have

14At the RSPCA
Within two weeks the dog has found a new home
with a couple who live around the corner from
you. They let you go and visit him whenever you
want and your mum is pleased that you made the

15At the vets
Your Mum phones up the vets and gets an
appointment for the next day. When you get home
from school the next day your mum ahs already
taken the dog to the vets. Its great news the
vet said that the dog was healthy and she gave it
its injections. Your Mum says that she spoke to
your Dad and he agreed that you can keep the dog
as long as you look after it. You promise to look
after the dog and give your Mum a big hug. Well
