• Derived from standard painting thoery and
  practice
• Easily adaptd to MM design
• To emphasise

Balance

• Consider the picture of the fountain in the
  centre.
• Why doesnt look right?

Tonal Values

• Different colours can have the same tonal value
• Best seen by squinting
• Two colours with the same tonal value merge and
  give no impression of depth
• Dark values should be used as near objects,
  light values as distant objects
