• Extreme mistreatment of slaves
• Not giving free blacks enough rights
• Newly Slaves and not acclimating to the island

  embargos by France and the United States
• Tighter slave restrictions in the United States

• The Haitian people were very violent to the
  French and Plantation owners
• They hung and killed there own masters and other
  high white officials stationed in Haiti
