Amazon FBA and How
Does It Work If you've ever sold something on
Amazon, you've most likely heard of FBA, or
Fulfillment by Amazon. With the introduction of
FBA, online sellers were able to sit back and
relax while Amazon handled the heavy lifting.
Amazon's massive warehouses around the world are
now available to sellers. All orders placed for
your products would be packed and shipped by
Amazon's hardworking staff. When it comes to
FBA, Amazon employees even handle customer
service.

What is Amazon FBA ?
When it comes to ordering fulfilment, Amazon
sellers have three options. They can pack and
ship the product themselves (Fulfillment-by-Merch
ant and Seller Fulfilled Prime), or they can
outsource storage, packaging, and shipping to
Amazon using FBA.

How does it work?
When making a product listing or offering a
product for sale on Amazon, sellers must decide
on their fulfillment plan. Sellers can swap
between fulfilment methods as needed.

The FBA process is simple.
Sellers obtain the items and ship them to an
Amazon warehouse. Amazon will provide you with
the relevant contact information and address. The
products are then stored at Amazon's fulfilment
facility until a client places an order. There
is a storage cost, which is generally determined
by the product's size/volume. When you place an
order, Amazon handles the transaction and updates
your inventory. Amazon will pack and ship the
order. The online retailer handles customer
service and order fulfilment. Amazon also
handles returns and refunds. Amazon provides you
the proceeds from your sales every two weeks.

Amazon FBA inventory fees explained

• Inventory management and storage are two of the
  most significant benefits of FBA. If Amazon
  merchants use the service, they will not need to
  invest enormous sums of money in storage space
  upfront. As I already stated, this comes at a
  low cost. All inventory at Amazon's fulfillment
  centers is subject to a monthly fee. The cost is
  based on volume and is determined by the size of
  the product and the time of year it is stored.
• During the holiday season, storage fees are
  raised (October to December).
