Ultram contains generic Tramadol, which belongs to opioid class of analgesics. It is prescribed for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. Ultram is also used for the other forms of pain like injury pain, surgical pain, joint pain, back pain and muscle pain, etc. This drug works very fast because it is a centrally acting medicine, so that its effects stay up to 4 to 5 hours.
