Future Research Factors Impacting Growth
  • BME is limited by resources in future growth.
  • Space for wet lab/animal research
  • Start up funds for new faculty and re-investment
funds for ongoing research using indirect cost
    recovery and salary release funds.
  • Support staff Financial management, clerical.
  • Continue with collaborative research with other
units, e.g., Medical School, Purdue, etc.
  • Collaborative research with industry when
    warranted.
  • Develop a new plan for the next stage of BME
    growth
  • Size of academic programs.
  • Resources for new faculty.
