ABOUT SZABIST

• SZABIST is a non-profit, publicly and privately
  funded, independently chartered graduate school
  of science and technology.
• Established as a Center of Excellence through a
  legislative act of the Sindh Assembly (Sindh Act
  No. XI of 1995).
• Approved and recognized by the Higher Education
  Commission (HEC), Pakistan, as a degree granting
  institution.
• SZABIST Karachi currently has 2200 students.
• Over 2800 degrees have been awarded by SZABIST
  Karachi todate.

business magazine, in its latest online edition
(www.businessweek.com/bschools) has listed
SZABIST among the best business schools of
the world for six years (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004,
2006 2008). SZABIST is listed along with other
top schools of the world including Wharton,
Kellogg, Harvard and MIT. SZABIST is one of the
top 20 business schools from Asia recognized
by BusinessWeek. Only two business schools
from Pakistan are listed in BusinessWeek.
Asia Inc, a leading Asian Magazine, has ranked
SZABIST among top MBA Schools of South Asia in
its last Asias Best MBA Schools Survey 2004
(Asia Inc, www.asia-inc.com) for two consecutive
years (2003, 2004). SZABIST is one of the top 15
business schools from South Asia ranked in Asia

In 2007, SZABIST received the Help Line Trust
Corporate Social Responsibility Award. SZABIST is
the first, and so far, the only university in
Pakistan to have won this prestigious award.
This award was given to SZABIST as a recognition
