• Project for establishing High speed connectivity,
  required to provide interactivity, included in IT
  Action Plan of Government of Pakistan
• Leverage the existing telcom infrastructure in a
  cost-effective manner to boost BW

• Live Lectures/Seminars with capability of
  interaction between presenter and Cyber audience
• Video Conferencing with Electronic Board
  capabilities
• Chatting Capability for live interaction among
  participants
• Off-line availability of contents
• Secure mechanism for exams/assignments

CORE NETWORK

• Three core locations including Islamabad, Lahore
  and Karachi
• These nodal points are interconnected at 2 Mbps
  using existing optical fiber network in the
  country
• Upgradeable to 155 Mb/s
• Initially 4 Mbps of international connectivity
  shall be provided at nodal locations for Internet
  facility
