How to become a knight
  • Before the age of seven a boy learns to ride a
    pony and care for horses
  • At age seven the boy leaves home for training as
    a page
  • A boy joins a household of a knight or nobleman
    and learns weapon usage, the code of courtesy,
    and correct behavior of knights

How to become a knight continued
  • At the age of fifteen or sixteen a male youth
    becomes a squire(a personal servant to the knight
    or nobleman). He rides into battle with the
    knight or nobleman, learning correct training as
    a soldier.
  • AT the age of twenty or twenty-one the young man
    becomes a knight in an official knighting
    ceremony.
  • Only an older knight or a priest can dub a young
    man a knight.

    by Marie Borroff or The Lady of Shalott by
    Alfred Lord Tennyson. Compare the poems great
    idea of choice with Sir Lancelots idea of
    choice from the movie. Did Lancelots choices
    prove to be good ones or bad ones? Did he make
    the right choices?
